U.S. Air Ambulance President/CEO: Clif Carothers holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Palmer Scholar. His previous professional experience was as a professional engineer and executive in the power industry where he lived and worked in remote international locations. Carothers purchased U.S. Air Ambulance in 1999.
Medical Director: Paul March, MD is an accomplished flight physician with more than two decades of Advanced Cardiac Life Support experience who has developed and enforces strict protocols that exceed national standards. He is a Federal Aviation Administration Medical Inspector and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. March holds the FAA Certificate of Designation, American Physician's Association Certification, and Aerospace Medical Association Certification.
Chief Flight Nurse: Christine Carter, RN, brings over 24 years of nursing experience, spanning pediatrics, home health, geriatrics, emergency room care, psychiatric nursing, critical/intensive care and hospital management. A certified firefighter and EMT.
International Flight Nurse Director: Melinda Jacobs, RNP, holds dual Adult and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner licenses and is Board Certified in both fields. Her experience includes acute care (ICU), transplants, oncology, nephrology, including quality assurance and managerial nursing positions. As a nurse practitioner in primary care services, she manages a solo practice panel of 1200 patients, and is a state liaison speaker for Arizona Tobacco Education and Prevention Program. She is a DNP doctoral candidate (2009).
